What is o.j. anderson?

O.J. Anderson, also known as Ottis Jerome Anderson, is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for fourteen seasons. He was born on January 19, 1957, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Anderson was an All-American running back at the University of Miami and was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 1979 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals for nine seasons before being traded to the New York Giants in 1986.

While playing for the Giants, Anderson helped the team win Super Bowl XXI in 1987, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. He also led the league in rushing that season. Anderson retired from the NFL after the 1992 season with 10,273 career rushing yards and 81 touchdowns.

After his playing career, Anderson worked as a commentator for CBS Sports and as an analyst on NFL Network. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996 and the Giants Ring of Honor in 2019.
